... well, not really.
A while back I said that one day the liberal press would turn on Obama and from then on he would be known as the Jimmy Carter of the 21st century. Well apparently today is that day. The liberal media doesn't get any more liberal than Der Speigel, who today is saying:
Will Obama Be the 'Jimmy Carter of the 21st Century'?

Jimmy Carter died and went to heaven, where he met Teddy Roosevelt. Teddy said, "So tell me about your Presidency. Any difficult problems?"
Jimmy said, "Well yes - the Russians invaded Afganistan" Teddy said, "Did you send the Marines?" "No," Jimmy said, "We boycotted the Olympics and imposed economic sanctions."
Jimmy went on, "Students in Iran captured the US Embassy and held Americans hostage.". Teddy asked, "Did you send the Marines?" "No," Jimmy replied. "We sent the Army in helicopters, which crashed in the desert."
To that Teddy said, "Wow. Next you'll probably tell me that you sold the Panama Canal."

"Nearly 40 years ago the Garden State borrowed $302 million to begin constructing the Meadowlands. The goal was to pay off the bonds in 25 years. Although the project initially went according to plan, politicians couldn't resist continually refinancing the bonds, siphoning revenues from the complex into the state budget, and using the good credit rating of the New Jersey Sports and Exposition authority to borrow for other, unsuccessful building schemes.
Today, the authority that runs the Meadowlands is in hock for $830 million, which it can't pay back. The state, facing its own cavernous budget deficits, has had to assume interest payments—about $100 million this year on bonds that still stretch for decades."
