- World Cup Comment

My buddy Jose is at the world cup in South Africa with his father and brother right now. In fact, his beloved Uruguayan team made big news globally by beating the South African's a few days ago. This was no doubt a moving moment for him.

I'm still 'Home Alone' and I'm therefore far too busy 'single parenting' to stay up on the world cup, but to honor my buddy and his Uruguayan countrymen, I thought I'd post this comment from Adolf Hitler.

Yeah, those vuvuzelas sure are annoying. Constant monotonous buzzing. I am just watching all the matches on mute. It must be unbearable for fans in those stadiums.

I have a tenant from the UK. Earlier in the week I was in her apartment replacing a heat/vent/light in the bathroom and she had the World Cup playing on the TV. All I heard were those damn horns. It sounded something between the world loudest gazoo and a wasp's nest that had just been stepped on.

I asked her "why don't they just confiscate those things when people walk into the stadium"? She mumbled something very PC about how you can't ban noise during a sporting event.... I guess the heads of the World Cup are of the same mindset.
