- Reagan At 100

Until George W. Bush came along, no one had endured the the kind of media slander that Ronald Reagan did. Brent Bozell gives a great summary here. For those of us who were around at the time it was a horrifying, shameful spectacle.

Now Obama seems to be enjoying it's inverse. He got a Nobel prize for all the things he 'might' do. He is praised from one side of the TV dial to the other, and even in fictional shows only the most reprehensible characters ever question his fitness. And yet - Reagan's policies caused the greatest economic boom in modern history, and in terms of results, Obama is more accurately compared to Carter - stagnation, inflation, unemployment and malaise.

I think America should learn to take it's cues from someone else.

I deleted another comment here from what I suspect was professional creator of disinformation. I don't like to do that - which is why I'm mentioning it. But believe me, you aren't missing anything.

For those of you who would like to post things here that you think I'm probably not going to be down with, let me give you a tip. I'm VERY reluctant to delete a comment, even if I disagree with it, so long as it has some sort of identity associated with it. But if you post it anonymously, I have to assume it's because you don't want anyone to know who you are, and that can only be because you don't want to be held to account for what you say.

If you think that's hypocritical of me, I should remind you that in the writings on this blog you will find my full name, address, email, and substantial portions of my resume. You just won't find them all in one place. You can figure out exactly who I am if you’re willing to put the work in, and I make no real attempt to hide it. I'm not anonymous really, I'm just tough to find. And I stand behind every opinion I've expressed and every fact I've presented.

If people put their name on a post I disagree with, sometimes I'll argue with them over it, and sometimes, if they're really loony, I'll either ignore or ridicule them. But it takes an awful lot to set off my BS alert so long as someone signs the comment. Say what you like. But don’t expect me to sit by while you anonymously lob grenades over the wall. Either come out and fight, or go the F@$! away. Either one suits me fine.
