Reprehensible nutjob Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe is in critical condition in a Singapore hospital.
Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe, 88, is fighting for his life in a Singapore hospital after handing over power to Defence Minister Emmerson Mnangagwa.
Ordinarily this would be a reason to cheer. It's tough, even in Africa, to find someone who has done as much to replace civilization and wealth with misery and despair as Robert Mugabe. But the harsh truth of Africa is, it probably won't mean much to the people on the ground. It will just mean another military coup, and another round of political purges, and more misery for the people who haven't already fled.
To quote that Leonardo DiCaprio movie, TIA.

If I were a US policy maker having responsibility for forging some sort of coherent battle op against the Taliban in Afghanistan following a US pullout I could do no better than model a covert US force on the Selous Scouts. Probably the finest asymmetrical war fighters ever produced by a western army.
Of course, no mention would be made of The Scouts or the nation that fielded them, who called Mugabe for what he was back in the 1960's but... oh well.
Libs run the show. The rest of us vent on RFNJ.
for the whole time of my career i always marvelled at how if you had a saint come in the door you knew they would have a terminal disease process and would continually try to die on the table. whereas if you had an alcoholic mass murdering child molester you couldnt kill em if you turned off the oxygen and unplugged the anesthesia machine and walked out.. how does someone like this pos live to be 88???????
