And let the pounding begin...
New Gallup Poll: Romney Up 5 Points Over Obama
To paraphrase Timmy Geithner on the lack of a Democrat budget, we on the right may not have our own story, but we know we don't like yours.

nice find tom.... its going to be a nasty 6 months. i hope mitt can stay level headed... cause barry is gonna try shermans march to atlanta if necessary..expect riots if mitt takes it
Romney Chess? If anything his critics say he's too level headed.
I don't know what kind of President he'll be. Better than Obama, but that's not setting the bar very high.
But more and more I'm convinced that he's exactly the kind of candidate we need. The Dems will fight in incredibly dirty if they can and Romney is someone whose entire dirty laundry pile involves a cigarette he snuck while in college, just to see what the big deal was. James Dean he ain't.
Beyond that, there only weapon is class warfare, and we don't hate the rich in America, we want to be the rich. (Of course Obama and his ilk don't realize that.)
I love veal.
Let's play this out: If poll numbers continue to indicate that Barry's behind, does he dump Slow Joe and go with Hillary? And if so, then who does Romney choose for VP to try and offset? If Mitt has to pick first, does your VP choice change?
My heart says pick Newt... I genuinely think he's the perfect fit for the job. But I know there are demographic considerations, so Haley and Rubio are both in the running. I can't handicap beyond that so I'll keep my chips in my pocket for now.
I don't see Barry bringing Hillary up, and I'm also not convinced she'd go for it. If she keeps from getting Chicago mud on her she can run next time around as a moderate centrist. She just can't be seen as one of "Obama's people".
I think she still has enough ambition in her to go for the brass ring, and I think she and Bill are among the very few Democrats who are clear eyed enough to see the problems Obama will have in the general.
Most liberals are too dumb struck by Obama's percieved awesomeness. But Bill loves no one but Bill, so I'm sure he's unimpressed.
tom as you said.plezzzzzzzzzz dont be a duck taped 14 yo i the trunk....i know mitt is bland. my man is newt because as ive said before in a debate itd be BO with a knife at newts gunfight. but newt is too wildcardish.. im afraid mitt can get off focus if he gets really hit below the belt. i do think this rough primary has helped mitt alot. he seems to have focused in on its the econmy stupid.. but itl get really nasty...hes gonna need someone around like tyson had when he was a young fighter. the old guy who died.. when nitt gets away from the gameplan some"old guy" needs to smack him and say stick to the plan.ding ding ding... now go and kick his ass
Every time Romney gets interviewed, they keep bringing up that damn incident involving his dog.
It has gotten very annoying...
in President Obama’s best-selling memoir, “Dreams from My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance,” the president recalls being fed dog meat as a young boy in Indonesia with his stepfather, Lolo Soetoro.
“With Lolo, I learned how to eat small green chill peppers raw with dinner (plenty of rice), and, away from the dinner table, I was introduced to dog meat (tough), snake meat (tougher), and roasted grasshopper (crunchy),” the president wrote. “Like many Indonesians, Lolo followed a brand of Islam that could make room for the remnants of more ancient animist and Hindu faiths. He explained that a man took on the powers of whatever he ate: One day soon, he promised, he would bring home a piece of tiger meat for us to share.”
At least Mitt didn't eat his dog
Romney has been extremely effective in his media strategy. He has pulled the focus of his strategy off message repeatedly. Recall that Newt had meltdown after meltdown over it. When Newt went off message his polling dropped like a stone. Obama will be seriously challenged to maintain his discipline.
The VP pick will be focused on Pennsylvania. Obama can't win unless he wins PA. Rubio will get serious consideration if Florida is in play.
im a rookie but does anyone know who is in mitts "inner circle"..? thanx.. and please tell me none of em were assoc with either of the bush's... im tired of karl and the gang
A man hears what he wants to hear, but I certainly like Tom's way of thinking. Lived in Utah only four months, but my overall experience with Mormons is that they really are squeaky clean. Take note of Romney's charitable contributions, and contrast with plagiarist Biden.
Also, Hilary has been brilliant in keeping her distance. Can't see her embracing the charlatan now. Biden is a heavy shackle on Obama when you put him up against almost anyone Romney picks for VP. Bring it on. Should be great theater.
