He doesn't mention it specifically, (because I suspect McCarthy may share Christie's view) but Christie is anti-gun. Allowing the citizens to keep and bear arms is to vest the citizenry with power. So any politician who is anti-gun, is against giving the citizenry power. And since the power has to go to someone, it usually goes to them.Christie is a perfect example.
When your only choices are a philandering bi-sexual accused of bribery (former governor Jim McGreevey), a union bought and paid for scofflaw who's firm steals his client's money (Jon Corzine) and a big government progressive Republican who would be considered a liberal Democrat anywhere else in the country but can at least handle simple math, the choice is easy. Remember, Mike Bloomberg was a Republican too.
Until we can untangle the union stranglehold and shatter the political machines, in NJ, Christie is the best we can do. But he's a lousy choice for national office.

Maybe Labor Secretary...He is about the polar opposite in size to the Reich. If Kudlow put them in boxes like he does with Steven Moore he would have to give Christie 2 boxes.I still think Mitt gets more bang for his buck with Rubio or someone from Ohio..Rasmussen poll today shows Mitt 6 points up in PA.If he can carry that and pick up Fla or Ohio it would go a long way to wiining. There are still like 6% undecided independents who want a 3rd party.. And of course Mitt gets 4% of the black vote..go figure??
To anyone out there that reads this and has served or has lost someone who served please accept my thanks..Maybe we can get this country on a path that is worth fighting for again. This Nov. hopefully will be a first step in that direction..
There is no way Christie would ever consider a cabinet post. He'll probably end up in the Senate replacing Disco Frank Lautenberg. I don't actually think he can get elected President.
Do you think he is electable as a senator if he may not get a 2nd term as gov?..Didnt realize Lautenberg was still alive. I havent seen him in years...You sure he is alive and not just being paraded around like "Weekend at Bernies"..Pelosi could talk with him and never realize he is dead.
He's actually more electable as a Senator than Governor (and he'll get a second term). The unions in NJ make a living looting the coffers of the state. They'll be glad to be rid of him when he has to go to DC.
Its like the universe dying.. Eventually it ends .Either in complete cold and still zipping away from each other or it all comes back and crashes into each other and we get another big bang.$41 billion isnt anywhere near doable.Toss in Ill and Cal and and and and and it all ends badly somehow..
I guess i would take Christy if it could get us the White House.I think he would pull in some who dont think Mitt is conservative enough. though he might run off some independents setting on the fence.I would have to see what putting him as veep would do in Pa. Fla. and Ohio.Christy may not be all "we" want him to be but I would take Mo,Larry, and Curley if it got BHO out of our hair.Like the Rolling Stones would say---you cant always get what you want but sometimes you get what you need.Anyone but BHO.I think you said on a blog you woud take Ron Paul instead of Barry.

In what amounts to one of the least surprising but still incredibly disgusting MSNBC segments, the panelists the cable channel trotted out compared current opposition to Obama with the rise of the KKK. Yup, that’s right. A bunch of liberals just screamed RAAAACIST! At half the country. Again.
Tom.....It has started.
I think you've got to be from Jersey to care about this. Not to dismiss the host's excellent, as usual, commentary but for a lot of people out here in "rest of US" it's like... Huh? Who?
