Now that the Supreme Court has ruled that Congress can regulate behavior through taxation, it will probably require a Constitutional Amendment to truly reverse this decision.
Repealing Obamacare isn't good enough. The court's decision needs to be encapsulated and buried in order to restore what remains of Liberty.
Damn You All to Hell!

I'm actually hearing a little optimism over this ruling from my sewing circle. It's obviously much worse than an unambiguous defeat for the bill, but the fact that this (and any future) bill with this structure is now a 'tax' means that any ruling can be overturned with only a 51 vote majority.
Small comfort I know, but it's something.
I think this obviously has a negative impact on the risk rally I've been expecting. People don't like it when things are so complicated that you have no choice but to leave it up to the lawyers because, as we've just seen, anything can then happen.
But Democrats in Congress are now going to have to face down Republican operatives accusing them of supporting the biggest tax increase in history. Even the press might be so brash as to mention it now and then.
This law has to go because it's a stupidly designed and economically destructive law. It relies on price fixing to mitigate issues of supply and demand, and that NEVER works.
But politically, not all is lost quite yet.
Agree..medicare price fixes and only ?30 trillion in the future hole....
As much as people dont want to hear it eventually there has to be some amount of rationing. However even that has failed in the places it has been tried... you either rid the world of obesity etc or NOTHING will prevent ths train from going over the cliff...
