Paul Krugman was on Squawk this morning but I couldn't bring myself to listen. I watched the whole thing muted. In truth, I have less problem with Krugman than people like Ed Rendell or Howard Dean because at least he isn't as insulting. But that's not the same as agreeing with him. And I think Krugman is doing far more damage to America than either of those guys.
If you watched what Krugman said today, try comparing it's 'ring of truth' to this. You've probably seen dribs and drabs of this, but never all together - it's Milton Friedman on Phil Donahue circa 1979 - the whole show. It's both prophetic and brilliant. Well worth your time. Certainly much more the Krugman.
If you believe in what you say and know the material you are delivering "by heart" than there is no need for dramatic over-tones or hysteria. Liberals adopted the "shout-down" because its not important for them to believe what they say, but more important for everybody else to believe what they say. Milton is a "cool hand".

Interesting how they discussed the idea(absurd at the time) of 'Sears buying Kmart'.
The absurd became reality
The tone of his voice never rises above a certain pitch - very controlled way to argue.

Friedman's delivery reminds me a bit of Nick Naylor (played by Aaron Eckhart) in the movie "Thank you for Smoking".
Very smooth delivery that absolutely infuriates his hardcore opponents.
If you want a progressive/leftist to go insane on you during a conversation.. mention Milton Friedman's name.
