Liberals fall into two basic categories, those that are lying because they have an unquenchable thirst for power, and those who believe them because they're too stupid to know better. Nancy Pelosi, Barak Obama, and probably Michael Moore fall into the first group. This article should be distributed to everyone who is in the second.

The second group isn't always due to pure stupidity. My parents are generally very smart people. But conditioning and denial are powerful things.
I add a third group:
Those who know what the (dire) consequences will be but will support it anyway. Why? Because they just want to see the world burn.
I have run into a surprising number of people in my generation that fall into #3.
Agree with both of you guys. Hell, I have a good friend that just says "bring it on".. Then I remind him of his 2 daughters age 27 and 31...I remind him that both will be moving back in if the end game really starts... He wants EU to fail etc etc.. Then I look him in the eyes and say" you really really really dont want to go back into the hole we left at s/p 666.
Ill add a 4th group that figures the end would really take ? 5-10 years to crumble and that they would just hang on.They want to be left alone and get social security and just meander through the last decade of their existence.They have learned to live in a low interest rate world and figure it cant get worse...When I remind them what they would be leaving for their kids most come around...But only most..Not all.
