I thought I would give this story a little meet the neighbors treatment, with the House having passed H. Res. 706 on June 28, 2012. As I have said before, Lanny Breuer is Deep in the Cheese , but I have doubts whether a civil action will wrestle documents away from the Department of Justice in time to make a difference for the 2012 election. As of today, the civil action has not been filed.
Under section 3 of the resolution, "The Office of General Counsel of the House of Representatives shall, at the authorization of the Speaker, represent the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform in any litigation pursuant to this resolution." I thought I would introduce you to the OGC by looking at their website. Kerry W. Kircher, General Counsel has excellent credentials and is supported by four attorneys, also with excellent credentials, having been awarded law degrees in 2001, 2001, 2005 and a year not disclosed.
The Department of Justice reports that as of May 2001, it had 124,870 employees. When I published this note, the DOJ website featured a rotating flash kiosk stating 1. "GlaxoSmithKline to Plead Guilty and Pay $3 Billion to Resolve Fraud Allegations and Failure to Report Safety Data;" 2. "Statement of Eric Holder on the House of Representativs Vote;" 3. Accomplishments under the Leadership of Eric Holder 2009 to Present," and; 4. "Mortgage Fraud Summits Arm Distressed Homeowners with Information to Protect Them from Scams."

The graphic is hysterical. I wish I had an equivalent comeback but it's been an unusually difficult (although profitable) and exhausting day. Tomorrow doesn't look to be any better. but I'll get back on track by the end of the week I think.
It's how it goes sometimes.
I hope as profitable as the DOJ day :)
