- Slapping Down Mayor Bloomberg

Saying stupid tyrannical things seems to be Mike Bloomberg's stock in trade these days. But in today's Wall Street Journal, Le Petite General gets a smack down from John Lott, the economist who authored "More Guns, Less Crime". Among many other things he says:

Although Mr. Bloomberg wants to ban "armor-piercing bullets," he doesn't seem to know much about them, either. First, nobody can get them legally for handguns except the police. Then the mayor claims that: "The only reason to have an armor-piercing bullet is to go through a bullet-resistant vest." That is just not so. Rifles with standard ammunition often can penetrate such vests, because their bullets travel faster than those fired from handguns. Yet if the mayor had said that hunting rifles can penetrate these bullet-resistant vests, his comments wouldn't have generated the same support.

Worth the read.

Great read. I would suggest that Bloomberg is becming more "impeachable" everyday, but the alternative would be somehwere in-between Christine Quinn or Charles Barron.

How many times a day do we have to hear that stupid JayZ song with Bobby Deniro telling us how NYC isn't what the it seems to be.

Imagine if the Olympics were held in NYC like Bloomy wanted?

They would have to move the shooting competitions outside of the five boroughs or more likely to NJ or CT.
