The Google Purge Pt. 3 - Gen. Kip Ward

The inspector general’s report found that [Gen. William ‘‘Kip’’] Ward used military vehicles to shuttle his wife on shopping trips and to a spa and billed the government for a refueling stop overnight in Bermuda, where the couple stayed in a $750 suite. The report detailed lengthy stays at lavish hotels for Ward, his wife and his staff members, and the use of five-vehicle motorcades when he traveled to Washington.

It also said Ward and his wife, Joyce, accepted dinner and Broadway show tickets from a government contractor during a trip during which he went backstage to meet actor Denzel Washington. The couple and several staff members also spent two nights at the Waldorf Astoria hotel.

Wait a minute... they think it justifies a scandal when a general takes his wife - his own wife - to NY on the government dime and accepts gift from some guy who thinks he's pretty politically?

Either the standard for 'scandal' is getting awfully low, or there are a whole lot of senior government boys who are going to lose their jobs over this.

And remember folks this is a man that knows scandal.. He cuts down giant spruce in heels ad womens clothing!!!

I even voted against the Missouri tobacco tax initiative (among the lowest in the nation), because all taxes ultimately mean more government. Discipline is government doesn't exist, and now the military is showing true stripes.

Artillery barrage precedes the assault, i.e. deep cuts in military spending.

Hope so...The more I read about Patreus and all this crap I picture him doing this to win over a much younger woman.

I have to agree with the Baron.
Full on purge from the top down.
Nullifies Peter King's search for the truth about Benghazi in the immediate.
Big distraction. Offer the masses a tawdry tale of T&A. Any chance for Petreus to enter political arena are dashed.
Benghazi becomes a "bump in the road" as the administration originally hoped.
Fiscal cliff dovetails as an added bonus.
Well surrendering the Middle East, complete drawdown overseas.
Slash and burn.
