- The End Of An Era

You heard it here folks. (Disco) Frank Lautenberg, will not be seeking reelection at the end of his term. Disco Frank was well known as one of the most devoutly anti-gun politicians in Washington, as well as managing to be on the wrong side of every historical even since the Kennedy assassination. Few men have done so much to so many with so little, and for so few good reasons.

That tiny light of liberty that once flickered in the hearts of ever New Jersey citizen can smolder just a touch warmer, knowing one of it's greatest enemies has, after too many decades, finally decided to throw in the towel.

It will be tough for the Democrat machine to find another candidate so willing to ride roughshod over the rights of NJ's citizens. But I'm sure they'll give it their best shot. Maybe they'll bring Bob (The Torch) Toricelli back at the last minute. What's one felony conviction among friends anyway? This is NJ.

So long Frankie - don't let the door hit you.

Who do you think will the machine favor to replace Frank?

Torricelli ran for the Senate '96 saying he would vote for the balanced budget amendment. He voted against it. It failed by one vote. I will never forget that.

I think the machine favors Booker

Well Booker is getting one of the two seats that will become available when Menendez gets forced out to his new lobbying job. Who get's the other one is anyone's guess.

(Or maybe this is Frank's way of saying that Menendez is going to survive the storm.)
