80% of NYC High School Graduates Can't Read

Would anyone like to bet me that the last 2 out of 10 that can read are Chinese or Korean?

In a just world, NYC public school teachers would be fleeing for their lives before an enraged mob of parents.

Excellent point Tom.
Its the sequester's fault. They were doing well until last week..The answer is mo money for education..

To quote Frank Zappa:

Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.

Thanks to Public Schools, the Regime will have an unlimited supply of low info voters...

Public schools have become glorified daycare (where sometimes your kids get beat up) and indoctrination centers.

I have a theory that if public education disappeared tomorrow, the same kids her learn now will still receive an education. Why? Because the kids are smart and their parents are capable.

The ignoramuses will be as ignorant as ever, but I will be paying a lot less in taxes. I pay $12k a year for the schools.. and property taxes only cover 15% of the costs. The rest comes of people like Tom in the suburbs.

Clearly this group doesn't love America, and may potentially be racist too. If we can get juuussst a little bit more "investment" in education, we're looking at an easy 10-bagger. Do it now. For the children.

How is that possible? How does NYC function?
